When sites give you a calorie intake guideline, is...
I’m not talking about calorie counting sites like LoseIt or MyFitnessPal. Just general sites when you google your daily food intake.
Anyone not on a diet and eating less than 1200...
I’m vegetarian and I find it hard to reach 1200 calories even though I do eat a lot of food. I’m afraid I might not be losing weight fast enough because I’m “starving” my body.
I’m already using MyFitnessPal to track my intake. But I don’t want to eat more food just for the sake of eating more food. Frankly, I’m full after 1000 calories.

I've come too far to let food dictate me.
Not only did I resist chocolate treaties a meeting tonight while everyone else went for them, I also went to the gym right afterwards and burned 700 calories. My net calorie for today is around 300. :D

What 200 g of Carb Look Like →
Yesterday I posted about “carb rinsing” and included info about why we need carbs and about how much keeps us in balance. For someone who needs 1,600 calories a day with a fairly low activity level about 45-50% should come from carbs. That’s roughly 200 grams of carbs daily. What does that look like? Here’s a sample menu:
BREAKFAST:
Half cup cooked oats – 14 g, 2 as fiber

I ate a piece of chocolate cake and then had chocolate chip scone. About 700 calories total. Yikes. I think I’ll hit the gym for an hour tonight.
